Installation Process

1. Fulfill prerequisites
2. Configure and run powershell
3. Configure Transforms.xml and create/install Wolters Kluwer Financial Services and STS
4. Use Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Administration; configure STS; create account and users; assign roles
5. Running the CreateSecurityTokenCacheDb.sql script.
6. Create and install Document Generation Services components
7. Deploy content in the Management Service

Additionally, log files are available in C:\ProgramData after installing Document Generation Services that provide more information. See Using Log Files.

Provided with this installation guide

The following folders and files are provided with the Document Generation Services Installation Guide:

• ExpereRepository: contains the folder structure for the content deployment process.
• STS-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used when installing and configuring STS.
• CoreServices-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used when installing Core Services.
• Admin-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used for the STS and Admin servers.
• DGS-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used for the Document Generation Services servers.
• CreateDGSCIDatabase.ps1: the powershell file contains default names for the servers used in the installation process.
